Eligible applicants applying for a Myanmar eVisa (tourism or business) need to provide a certain set of documents during the application. To check the available eVisa types along with their requirements for your nationality, use the document requirement checker tool below.
Note: Ensure all documents are clear scans (PDF or JPG
format).
Common Requirements for Tourist and Business eVisa
All the applicants, irrespective of their selected Myanmar eVisa type, must submit the following common requirements at the time of application:
1. Passport Biopage Scan
Make sure the scan:
Shows the entire bio page, including all 4 corners.
Is clear, sharp, and easy to read.
Has no cropped edges, fingers, or other objects covering the page.
Shows the full MRZ clearly.
Note:
The passport must be valid for 6 months from the date of entry into Myanmar.
Travel documents are not accepted.
2. Applicant Photo
Make sure the photograph:
Is taken during the last 3 months
Is clear, sharp, and high quality.
Is taken against a plain white background.
Shows the applicant facing the camera directly.
Is free of glare, filters, or edits.
Additional Document Required for Myanmar Tourist eVisa
Applicants for the Myanmar tourist eVisa are also required to submit the following documents in addition to the common requirements:
1. Proof of Accommodation
Submit proof of accommodation for your stay in Myanmar. Accepted accommodation includes a hotel, motel, inn, guest house, resort or boat accommodation.
Private or residential addresses are not accepted for Tourist eVisa applications.
2. Return Travel Ticket or Trip Itinerary
A. For Air Travel
Submit a confirmed return travel ticket showing your name, flight number and departure date from Myanmar.
B. For Land Travel (Kawthaung International Land Border Checkpoint)
Submit a detailed trip itinerary instead of a return ticket. The itinerary should show your intended travel dates and planned activities in Myanmar.
Additional Requirements for Myanmar Business eVisa
Myanmar business eVisa applicants are also required to submit the following additional documents along with the common requirements:
1. Invitation from the Organiser
Upload an official invitation letter from the organiser that states your business purpose and the visit duration in Myanmar. It must include the applicant's and the company’s details, along with a signature/stamp.
2. Business eVisa Requisition Letter from Inviting Company
Submit a Business eVisa Requisition Letter from the inviting company in Myanmar, requesting the issuance of business eVisa for the applicant.
Make sure the requisition letter includes the applicant details, purpose of their visit, and an authorised signature of the company head with an official company stamp.
3. Inviting Company’s Registration
If the inviting company is local, upload its Certificate of Incorporation. If it is a foreign investment company, submit the Certificate of Registration of the Branch Office.
Note: The inviting company cannot be an NGO/INGO.
4. Company Extract
Provide a Company Extract as official proof to verify the inviting company's legal registration. It should show the company name, registration number, and the company’s registered address.
