Myanmar Govt Promote Tourist Visa Exemption Pilot Scheme next year

Myanmar Government announced that the Pilot scheme for tourist visa exemption has been extended until 30th September 2020.

As per this Pilot Program Korea Republic, Japan, Macau Special Administrative Region of China and Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of China do not required any a tourist visa to enter the Country.

The tourist who visit under the Pilot Scheme from Japan, Korea Republic, Macau Special Administrative Region of China and Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of China can visit up to 30 days and will be able to come and leave from below listed Checkpoints.

The Myanmar International Airport & Land Border Checkpoint

  • Yangon International Airport   
  • Mandalay International Airport
  • Nay Pyi Taw International Airport
  • Tachileik Land Border Checkpoint
  • Myawaddy Land Border Checkpoint
  • Kawthaung Land Border Checkpoint
  • Tamu Land Border Checkpoint
  • Rih Khaw Dar     Land Border Checkpoint

Additionally, you may exit at the Htikee Land Border Checkpoint, but not enter from there at this time.”.

On 30 April 2019, “We are pleased to announce that our Myanmar e-visa website is now available in French, German, Italian, Korean, Japanese and Chinese languages.” – Ministry Confirmed.
